See spedeworth carried out the threat to reduce the meetings, only 3 up to July to give a possible max of 6, that surely is the end as i cannot see a compedtive driver hanging around to see if spedeworth change there minds.

I m now very worried as i want to go to the V8s and have placed down more than half of the deposit for a V8,and i DO NOT like many of you being left with a race car to sell that is no good to anyone. We NEED TO GET MORE CARS TO EACH FIXTURE to stop these great cars from being taken away from motor sport. And being left with a huge amount of money in a race car we can all not sell.

it is a shame to lose the formula, with spedeworth having lost 2 tracks in as many years and in fairness to spedeworth they did do everything in there power to get the cars out, in the end all was to no avail, some of the drivers have already moved to superstox, 1300 stock cars and hot stox so all is not lost.also think the drivers who have supported the formula over the years should be applauded and the drivers who have let the formula down should be named and shamed so when they apply for a licence in aanother formula there track attendance record should be considered before spedeworth gives them a licence.

It is a shame if this formula does go under. The current regular drivers I feel for because its them who suffer. But maybe less meetings might mean more cars? If you go on there web site they are trying to do something about the situation. And hopefully they will. Im just gutted only get to see them once at wimbo this year. Hopefully more drivers will join up this season and give them more dates next year (2011).

would you invest money in a car that you can only race 4-5 times a year spedeworth have got that already, not enough interest from drivers is why they have all but got rid of the formula. talked to a few drivers in wimbledon last night they said they were buying superstox as the hot stox option involved to much traveling.
lots of the equipment on the v8 will fit the superstox so maybe it is a shrewd move by spedeworth to ensure the racers keep on racing but in a different formula time will tell.

Hello people,

Once again i see Mr Slicker has his big wooden spoon out, don't know what makes him the know all on the v8's but that is his opinion (although he talks through the wrong end!!!)... The fact is true that the v8's are having a few less meetings this year but this will enable the formula to consolidate those drivers that have cars and get them back out racing thus putting on a better show...

The formula are doing a whole lot of behind the scenes work with the drivers and spedeworth along with car builders etc... most of this info will be available at the NEC Show and Mr Slicker you are more than welcome to come tell me all about the formula i currently race in as i will be by my car all weekend!! (Which formula do you race in??)

michaellisa

Please feel free to send me a personal message and i will give you my number for a chat, i'll let you know what our plans are and if you need help with anything just let me know??? Nothing we don't know about the forumla and it's engines....

Slicker

For someone who has no interest and knocks the V8's it is no wonder they don't make you the formula historian!!! You seem to know more about the formula than anyone who has driven in one... 'Terry Harris #33'

Daryl Harris #32

Yes i would if i could to answer your question but i cant afford too!

And well said mr harris its a shame that people like to knock this formula. Its good to see all the drivers getting together to sort things out for a better future.

I will be supporting formula when i can around the tracks

Firstly i am not a driver i help a friend who races a superstox at arena essex, two years ago we were thinking along the lines of the v8 formula, so i posted some questions about the formula on this forum, problem was rather than answer the questions i was subject to a barrarge of abuse, from an outsiders point of view the problems with the v8 are all to obvious. tunnel vision being the biggest own by the people who appear to have influence, it is not rocket science to work out that if one driver wins almost every single race through the season something is very wrong with the formula, the driver will say it is his ability or his set up but i think that is complete rubbish, a very good formula has been destroyed by the tunnel vision of a minority they are just my views but would suspect such views are shared by lots of drivers who do not have the will to put it to print.

A lot is going on behind the scenes over the winter and it is a time for consolidation in 2010 , there are new drivers coming out (and yes they do have cars) and if most of the current ones do every meeting the formula will be all the stronger for it, as for doing other formulas what a load of rubbish, i personally would pack up as nothing would come close to the buzz of racing these cars.
But i have no intention of giving up and currantly carrying on finishing my new (to me) car and cant wait for the new season to come.
